We were honored to attend the Newroz cocktail reception at the European Parliament in Brussels, organised by the Kurdistan Regional Government Mission to the European Union and the S&D Group.

The event brought together a large number of distinguished guests, including Members of the European Parliament, representatives of European institutions, Kurdish public figures, civil society actors and members of the diaspora.
The Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation (KDWF) was represented at this reception, reflecting our continued commitment to strengthening dialogue and engagement at the European level.
We were especially honored to witness the presence of renowned Kurdish artist Şivan Perwer, whose contribution to Kurdish culture continues to inspire generations.
The evening, enriched by music, cultural exchange and traditional govend dances, created a meaningful space for dialogue, connection and shared values.
We sincerely thank all organizers and partners for hosting this important and memorable event.
As Head of External Relations of KDWF, I was pleased to represent our federation and engage in constructive exchanges with European partners.
KDWF remains committed to strengthening the voice of Kurdish women in Europe and building bridges between communities and institutions.
