Kurdish Women’s Federation Brings Together Women’s Organizations in Finland
September 8, 2025 – At the initiative and invitation of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation, a meeting was held with the participation of the Federation’s President, Ms. Shirin Zaki, along with Kurdish women and women’s organizations in Finland.
The meeting focused on several key points:
Achieving consensus among Kurdish women on women’s issues.
Establishing a common position regarding political and social developments in Kurdistan.
Planning future joint activities for Kurdish women living in Finland.
Representatives from the Kurdistan Democratic Women’s Union of Iran, Kurdish Women’s Horizon, Kurdistan Women’s Union, Kurdish Federation of Finland, as well as a number of active women from West Kurdistan, attended the meeting.
The gathering concluded with a dinner hosted by the Federation. Participants expressed their gratitude for the Federation’s initiative in bringing Kurdish women together and creating an opportunity to exchange views on the role and rights of women.
