Today marks the 51st anniversary of the execution of Leila Qasim and her brave comrades. Leila Qasim stands as a symbol of resilience and courage—a Kurdish woman who gave her life to defend the identity of her nation and uphold the values of her homeland.

Through her martyrdom, Leila sent a powerful message to the world: that the Kurdish liberation movement is a collective struggle where men and women stand shoulder to shoulder, ready to sacrifice everything for the Kurdish cause and the protection of their land.

In the wake of her martyrdom, thousands of women rose in her footsteps, joining the Kurdish revolutionary movement and continuing the path that Leila and her comrades paved with their courage and sacrifice.

On this solemn occasion, we honor and salute the spirit of martyr Leila Qasim, her comrades, and all those who gave their lives on the path to freedom and independence.
