Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation Meets Finland's Largest Women's Organisation Network

The delegation of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation, led by Sherin Zaki Jndi and Donya Khalil with the participation of members of the executive board of the Finnish branch, held an organised and successful meeting with the management of the Coalition of Finnish Women's Associations (NJKL) as part of their ongoing efforts to amplify the voice of Kurdish women and strengthen their standing in the international community.

The NJKL, which is the largest and most prominent network of women's organisations and gender equality in Finland and Scandinavia with over 110 years of campaigning history, uniting more than 70 different organisations and 400,000 members, warmly welcomed the delegation, led by Executive Director Aija Salo and her management team.

During the hour-and-a-half-long meeting, attended by Aija Salo, Annika Hinkkanen, Salla Kajanmaa, and Maria Tolvanen, detailed discussions took place regarding the situation of Kurdish women and the challenges and capabilities of the Kurdish community in Finland.

At the same time, the federation's delegation presented their objectives and roadmap, officially inviting the NJKL to build joint cooperation, implement cultural and social projects, and strengthen advocacy for women's rights a significant achievement that opens a new door for long-term cooperation within Finnish civil society for the federation.
