On March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation (KDWF) participated in a seminar dedicated to the role of women in society.
During the event, our representative Karine Rashidova delivered a speech on the role of Kurdish women in the diaspora and their contribution to European society. In her remarks, she highlighted the importance of women’s participation, education, cooperation between communities, and strengthening the position of women in Europe.

Following the speech, inspiring conversations took place with several participants who expressed interest in future cooperation and dialogue on the role of women, diaspora communities, and social participation.
International Women’s Day remains an important moment to reflect on the role of women in our societies and to work together towards greater participation, equality, and opportunities for women.
The evening concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with Kurdish music and traditional Kurdish food, highlighting once again the importance of culture, dialogue, and connection between communities.
